The John Lofgren M-43 Service Shoe is based off the WWII era US Army combat boot. This modern version features a 6" shaft, unstructured toe box, and is made of a Horween Chromexcel using the roughout side. These M-43s are built around the Munson last. This last was developed by U.S. Army Doctor Edward Munson after studying over the feet of over 2000 solders, and was the military boot last from 1912 through the Korean War. The Munson last was designed to naturally contour to the foot, be comfortable for various feet type, and durable enough for long marches. These M-43 Service Shoes were crafted by skilled craftsmen to the highest standards of Japanese manufacturing.
